Introduction

Welcome to Mercenaries of War, a survival crime based browser text based MMO.
This is a PvP (Player vs Player) environment with the ability to kill another player. If you die,
your account is dead and you have to start over. Your purpose is to become a top mercenary by ranking up,
join forces with like-minded criminals and rise to the top of the chain of power through money, bullets and a loyal crew.
Its a brutal lifestyle, but with great power comes a great crew.

Remember, money is power, but so are bullets.

Getting Started

Theres a lot you can do in the world of Mercenaries of War. In this criminal survival game, its kill or be killed. If you die, you are permanently dead and will have to start fresh. The following are tips to help you get started;

  • Get started by doing small crimes, vehicle thefts, police chases to start gaining XP and "ranking up."

  • Familiarize yourself with the navigation menu and explore all there is to do in the game. It will help you get a feel for all of the different features.

  • If you successfully steal vehicles, you can use them for bullet beists, bank robberies, repair them, sell them or crush them for bullets.

  • When you can, get involved with a crew. As a part of a crew, you can do Inside Jobs or crew crimes that gain money and bullets collectively as a crew, work together to help each other grow stronger. There is strength in numbers.

  • Make sure you stock up on bullets as you play as that is your main line of defense against being shot at by other players.

  • If you need to make some extra cash, you can check out the Auction House, Drug Market, Stock Market or the Gambling section. Many casino machines and bullet stores are ownable businesses that make profit off other players.



  • Resources

    There are several resources in this game that are extremely valuable and managing them well will help you do well as a Mercenary;

    Timers: A lot of criminal and civil activities are tied to timers or "cooldowns." Staying on top of these timers is the key to ranking fast.

    Energy: Gained through various crimes, Energy is useful for training in the Gym and mugging players.

    Heat: Heat is what determines your chance to go to jail. You generate heat as you perform criminal activities. When you do a crime, the game rolls a dice between 1-100, if your heat is higher than the dice roll, you land in jail and lose all your heat.

    Bullets: The most valuable resource and currency in the game. They allow you to take a life as well as defend yourself. You can;

  • Wager them in Fight Club
  • Sell them on the Auction House
  • Trade them in the Trade Center

  • Bullets can be acquired through a multi-tude of sources such as;

  • Purchasing bullets in the Bullet Store
  • Crushing vehicles in your Garage
  • Stealing them from other players through mugging
  • High ranking crimes
  • Bullet Heist (2-man organized crime)

  • Credits: Premium currency used in the credit store and to purchase the Elite Mercenary package (more info in the Credit Store section).

    Gym Stats


  • Agility: Agility increases your chance to succeed in mugging players and determines your speed in Fight Club.
  • Strength: The higher your strength, the more damage you do in Fight Club.
  • Guard: The higher your Guard, the higher defense you have to defend against attacks in Fight Club.


  • Overview

    Announcements - Attempt to steal a vehicle. Successful thefts go into your garage where you can repair, sell or crush cars for bullets.

    Changelog - Think you can get away from the cops? Make the wrong move and its some decent prison time, but you will be rewarded well if you get away!

    Online Players - Attempt to crack the safe for big prize by entering the correct 3-digit combination.

    Overview - A general area where you can view all of your stats. Also has basic information on gameplay and useful links to help you out.

    Inventory - After you purchase weapons or armor from the Black MArket, they will show up here where you can equip or view information on your items.

    Life Insurance - Purchase a life insurance policy. In the event that you are killed, if you had a life insurance policy active, you will be able to reclaim 70% of your Money, bullets and XP as well as 100% of your credits.

    Help Desk - If you have a question, suggestion, bug to report, feedback or help in general, this is the place to go. Just create a ticket and a Help Desk Operator will respond shortly.


    Crimes

    Small Crimes - Allows you to perform small crimes on short timers to make a little bit of cash and experience as a Mercenary.

    Vehicle Theft - Attempt to steal a vehicle. Successful thefts go into your garage where you can repair, sell or crush cars for bullets.

    Police Chase - Think you can get away from the cops? Make the wrong move and its some decent prison time, but you will be rewarded well if you get away!

    Crack The Safe - Attempt to crack the safe for big prize by entering the correct 3-digit combination.

    Mug Player - One of the few crimes that does not have a cooldown. Use Energy to try mugging other players for cash and sometimes even bullets. Increase your Agility skill in the Gym to increase your chance of successfully mugging players..

    Jail - Ah jail...youll be spending a lot of time here. You can bust other players out for XP and attempt to bust yourself out, but dont get yourself locked up in Super Max!.

    Missions - Missions are offered every 5 hours and can be completed for large rewards.

    Drug Market - Buy low and sell high like any good drug dealer. Check the Drug Prices page to figure out the best place to buy/sell. Prices are dynamic change occasionally.


    Organized Crimes

    Bank Robbery - Take 3 friends and organize a bank robbery for a chance to score millions in cash. All members need to be in the same location as the robbery. You need to fill 4 roles;

    Leader - Responsible for planning the entire operation. Choose your members wisely.
    Weapons Expert - Responsible for choosing proper weapons for the team. More expensive the weapon, the higher the chance to succeed.
    Explosives Expert - Responsible for choosing proper explosives for the team. More expensive the explosive, the higher the chance to succeed.
    Driver - The getaway driver. Make sure you bring a good enough car to succeed. A slow vehicle is sure to get you caught by the cops.

    Bullet Heist - Team up with a friend and pull off a bullet heist on an armored truck hauling ammunition. Succeed and make off with a ton of bullets!



    City

    Garage - A place to store your stolen vehicles. Here you can repair your vehicles, sell them or crush them for bullets.

    Bank - A bank account for your cash, avoids money being mugged by other players. If someone kills you, they take everything in your bank though.

    Stock Market - A dynamic ever-changing stock market where you can invest your cash and make big gains - or big losses.

    Hospital - If you survive being shot at or in a fight, you can come to the hospital to heal up for a fee.

    Black Market - Ther black market is where you can purchase weapons, armor and consumeables to help you out on the streets. Go to your inventory to equip them.

    Bullet Store - This is where you can purchase bullets directly from the bullet store. You can buy 100 bullets every 60 seconds.

    Travel - Travel to different locations to avoid being accurately searched by detectives, different bullet, casino, drug prices.

    Gym - Come here and expend your extra energy on increasing skills in Agility, Strength and Guard. Agility is used for mugging chance and fight club speed. Strength and guard is your attack and defensive skills for fight club.

    Auction House - Here you can sell anything from bullets, credits, properties, items, ect toi other players in eithe ra bidding auction or buy out price.

    Properties - Ownable businesses where you can profit off of other players through casino machines, bullet stores, ect.

    Fight Club - Come here and wager cash, bullets or credits in a fight against other players. Caution: Fight club can take a hit on your health.

    Trade Center - Enter into a safe, traqde exchange with another player to safely exchange items or cash.



    Gambling

    Blackjack - Play a classic game of 21 and win double your bet for a Blackjack!

    Horse Racing - Bet on race horses at the track.

    Poker - 6-Seat Real-Time Multiplayer Poker game.

    Slots - Classic slot machines to take a chance to win big!

    Chance - Chance to double your money or lose it all!

    Lottery - Buy lottery tickets for a chance to win the jackpot!

    Russian Roulette - 1 in six chance to kill yourself, but make a lot of cash if you survive.



    Community

    Mailbox - Send mail messages to a players inbox as a more formal line of communication.

    Notifications - Check your previous notifications here.

    Blood Brothers - Enter a dark ritual with a partner and become Blood Brothers.

    Message Boards - A forum message board where you can post topics on random discussions.

    Discord - Join our discord server and become more involved with the Mercenaries of War community.

    Chat System - Our instant chat system. Channels for Main and Crew chats. If you go to a players profile and hit Chat, it will open a private message chat with that user.



    Crews

    All Crews - A list of all crews in the game. There can be one crew per location. You can start a crew for $1,000,000 if there is a vacant slot. Crews are a main focus point in Mercenaries of War between killing, crew wars and crews working together to become stronger as a unit and organization.



    Murder

    Killing is a main part of the game. If you kill someone, they are permanently dead and have to start over. When you kill someone, you take all of that players cash in hand and bank and all of their bullets.

    In order to kill another player, you first have to search for them using Detectives which can be pretty expensive.

    Once you have located the player, you must travel to their location before your detective report expires and attempt to murder them/ Beware that you could end up dying in the process if you dont shoot enough bullets.

    Killing factors in max health (increases by ranking up), weapons, armor, bullets, and does an algorithm to determine who dies. Make sure you equip a good weapon and armor.
